Apple with Bark

Self‑taught artist, one of the founding members of the Vajda Lajos Studio and also a member of the Hungarian National Association of Creative Artists and the Federation of Visual and Industrial Artists. He is an Honoured Artist of the Republic of Hungary, moving with an effortless home‑like ease between the widest range of genres and art forms. He began his career as a pianist but also works as a guitarist. He produced graphics mainly during the Edwinian period (1968Â?70), and from that time has also painted, organised happenings and performances. He teaches young people at the VLS summer open‑air school. Several phonographs and cassettes have been released (A. E. Committee group, efZámbó Happy Dead Band).

Life Tree with Dynamite

In the Balázs Béla Studio he directed art films (Rend a lelke mindennek, Tisztaság fél egészség) and published dadaist‑surrealist verses built on free association. His oeuvre is exceptionally rich and multifaceted, a direct continuation of surrealism and dada. His work is marked by a frivolous, biting, playful tone. According to aesthetic critic István Antal, among the great trio (feLugossy, Wahorn, efZámbó) feLugossy is the samurai type, Wahorn the great synthesiser, and efZámbó the clown.

Women’s Hortobágy

At the Godot Gallery exhibition, Unique Intervention Prints (EBP) created from graphics produced in the past 5-6 years will be showcased. The EBP genre sits between the original drawing and the multiplied graphic. Its essence is the unique intervention, the after‑work, the improvisation that makes each piece a little different. The graphic sheets printed on hand‑lined paper, produced in Vincze László’s Szentendre studio, then intaglio‑etched, coated with matte varnish and weather‑resistant, are compared with the original drawing so that the power of quality becomes obvious to everyone.

The exhibition can be viewed until April 9 from Tuesday to Friday between 10 and 18, and on Saturdays between 10 and 13.
