In Gallai Judit Ágnes’s exhibition titled *Nokturnális narratíva*, the emphasis is on exploring the relationship between the body and unconscious content. Our body is not merely material; it also shapes and bears the imprint of our identity, memories, and cultural past. It is a crucible of spirit and nature, a place that can be perceived as mythic. Gallai Judit Ágnes uses her own body and face as raw material for her installations and paintings; together with its uniqueness, this becomes an expression of a collective view. The half‑animal, half‑human beings depicted in the paintings proclaim the indomitable wisdom of instinctive existence, to which Gallai’s work is associated with the feminine principle. In the absence of a female perspective in history, women have become the carriers of their own pasts and stories, allowing more space for personal narratives and for seeing the shared impressions that shape us, as an alternative reading. The body installations made of sugar and soap evoke this type of experience as metaphors for preservation and purification.
The works on display at the Nokturnális narratíva exhibition lead into a world of dreams that is at once hazy, dark, all‑knowing and absurd, within Godot Labor’s four‑storey exhibition space.
