Exhibition at a French castle – Anniversary celebration at the Godot Art Expo
The Godot Contemporary Art Institute has reached a special milestone this year: for the tenth time we are organising the Godot Art Expo-t, which since 2015 has showcased the best of Hungarian contemporary art year after year. On the occasion of this year’s anniversary event in France. special prizeWe established AT IS, which provides the most outstanding artists with the opportunity to display their works in an extraordinary venue, the southern France in Val d’Aigoual Castle Please correct it.
This castle, which is being restored under the leadership of András Derdák and with the backing of a community investor group, already operates as a vibrant cultural centre. Regularly on the historic building are a variety of art programmes and small events, and in the near future one can also expect theatrical performances, music festivals and further exhibitions.
The castle’s unique atmosphere provides a perfect venue for the winning artist to showcase their work before an international audience.
The aim of Godot Art Expo has remained unchanged since its launch – we create space for the talents of contemporary art, so that their work can reach a wide audience. This year we place particular emphasis on artistic diversity and on making the pieces on display available at guerrilla prices, so that every visitor can take home a piece of future art.
This special prize not only offers an exceptional opportunity for the winning artist, but also opens new doors for Hungarian contemporary art on the international stage. We hope that the collaboration between Val d’Aigoual Castle and Godot Art Expo will help strengthen the ties between artists and those interested in culture.
