Károly Szikszai:
No matter how you translate the disc
A view from the lookout tower
On paper the soul's pink quotations
If you look down with a black bug in your eye.
From the coffin high
And the endless blood …
For every attempt to explain radio news you still fail.
Word crumbs hint at the edge of the mouth.
The paper inflates under my hand.
Vitamin bonding of nuts soaked in milk
I sent a pink soul handkerchief to a loaf of bread
Náthában, a garatvörös lecke, coiled.
He murmurs from the dream, brushing his face with a tango‑harmonica.
Music powder smokes
An archaeology school in the fiery blaze of burnt lakes
Our martyred bottles rest in alcoves of patriotism
Broken hair strand bundles show the time
Various shiny wire cages glitter beside a counter.
A sparkling bell protects Bélsárvár.
Grease drips from its onions, its smell
He would call flies to the corner of his mouth. Tied to an asparagus.
Ecetfányi verebet röptet éppen,
Twelve pairs of gazes talk about freedom
Carving a smile line on their beaks, the sky
a hands‑weary morning shows itself: golden colour
the servants whine, then
raise the dove from the picture,
thumbs a must, cup pigeon back.
Then he spreads his own bread.
S is tied to a crib for a single nudge.
To the city.
When the sun is out, glass panels glimmer brighter and lie.
