Egle Anita was the Godot Gallery awardee at the Miskolc Graphic Biennale in 2006.

Just as we begin to describe the fundamental aspects of Anita EGLE’s works, the methods employed and the entirety of her thinking, it feels as if we are sharply distancing ourselves from the idealised image of the traditional visual artist that has long been fixed in us. We cannot use the familiar thief‐language of our craft, nor the established expressions that have hitherto captured aesthetic meanings. We must rather live by identifying and interpreting visual relations for which the historical and critical literature has not yet embraced a broadly recognised terminology. —Dr Tamás AKNAI, art historian
