László Szotyory: Pálmaliget
Long, lonely journeys across the harsh American plains, lone-horned starts on heated hens and the moaning cliques of forlorn groups. What could possibly bind them together?
"Every child draws… I have not given up. Now I draw and paint again, just as in my childhood, to experience more vividly what I imagine." – Szotyory László (http://www.ismertseg.hu/Szotyory-Laszlo-interju)
Palkó Tibor: Sensitive Compulsion
“I wander around my womanhood, my questions, my doubts. I try to formulate what is taking shape in the depths of my conscience.” – Agnes von Uray

Agnes von Uray: Anger
The theme of the exhibition is to show, in the present‑day turmoil of the 21 century, that figurative painting in the classical sense still exists, indeed thrives. Bold brushwork, colours used with confidence, decisive line‑work—all of these are turned into forms and subjects.
Szotyory László: Tornado
"I hate it when they get irritated because I don't have a diluent, but I love this state, I love being nervous, that's when something happens." – Tibor Palkó
(Palkó Tibor, Images, 1987-1990)
Tibor Palkó: Without stimulants
The aspirations and doubts of the artists, the pillars of human relationships, determine every work in the exhibition. Each landscape, each scene turns a fragment of lived memory into reality. The endless imagination is the boundary, like film scenes, like frames from American series. The works are at once defined by a fortissimo and an erotic atmosphere.
Agnes von Uray: Pofon
Beyond the aesthetic and intellectual aspects, the exhibition also has an important practical dimension: Palkó Tibor, Szotyory László and Agnes von Uray were selected to represent each of three major commercial galleries at the group show in the Godot Gallery. The Godot Gallery, the Inda Gallery and the Várfok Gallery together provide a role model for the Hungarian fine‑arts scene that we have long awaited. The common goal that makes all this possible is the pleasure of visualising painting.
