Egy év telt el azóta, hogy a fiatal képzőművészek képviseletét célul kitűző Godot Labor 11 fős művészcsapata elkezdett együtt dolgozni és gondolkodni. Ez idő alatt az egyéni és páros kiállításokon túl, a hosszabb távú projektek mellett, olyan egyedi ötletet is megvalósítottak, mint a covid alatti kényszerű kiállítótér-bezárásokra reflektáló Fiktív kiállítás, amellyel megalkották a tárlatperformansz eddig nem létező, új, képzőművészeti műfaját. Most a tavaly szeptemberi galérianyitó kiállításhoz hasonlóan a Godot Labor négy emeletén, 400 m²-en mutatjuk meg a csoport tagjainak legfrissebb alkotásait, amelyeken már lekövethető az együtt töltött egy év hatása, a gondolatgeneráló gyűlések inspiráló lenyomata, olyan változatos műfajokban, mint installáció, szobor, videó, festmény, cianotípia és grafika. A különböző termek egyenként is szuggesztív művészi világot alkotnak, ahol az egymással feleselő műtárgyak felrobbantják a teret, míg a kiállítás egészét a fiatal generáció kiemelkedő alkotóinak progresszív erőteljessége hatja át.

Full exhibition text

A year has passed since the Godot Labor artist team – comprising 11 members and aimed at representing young visual artists – began working and thinking together. In that time, beyond solo and duo exhibitions and longer‑term projects, they realised a distinctive idea – the Fiktív exhibition, which reflected the compulsory gallery‑space closures during Covid, and thereby created an entirely new, previously non‑existent visual‑art genre of touring‑performance. Similar to last September’s opening show, we will now exhibit the group’s latest works across four floors of Godot Labor, covering 400 square metres, showing the influence of a year worked together, the inspiring echoes of our thought‑generating meetings, across varied media such as installation, sculpture, video, painting, cyanotype and graphics. Each room, on its own, creates a suggestive artistic world where superimposed objects explode the space, while the whole exhibition is infused with the progressive vigour of the outstanding creators of the younger generation.

The exhibition will be open from 2021 September 22 to 31 October, from Tuesday to Sunday between 14 and 19.

The exhibition is at 6. During the duration of the Godot Art Fair (2021 . 10 . 06 - 10 . 17.) it can be visited with a ticket valid for the art fair.
