Annamária Gáspár lives and works in Budapest. Most of her work depicts found women or the symbolic objects and spaces surrounding them. Her sources of inspiration also include her travels across Europe and Asia. Intimacy in her choice of subjects and the duality of impersonality in photorealism characterise her work, and a playful irony with female stereotypes also appears.
His work is heavily influenced by pop culture, photorealism, and Japanese visual traditions. The pieces are characterised by empty, textural spaces and richly detailed figurations arranged asymmetrically, with a cheerful looseness and a metaphysical painting lurking behind the wealth of detail, searching for answers to questions of existence.
